Where the wild meets the water, 2024

For Gippsland Art Gallery and the Port of Sale, commissioned by Gippsland Art Gallery.
70 Foster Street, Sale, Victoria

The Gippsland town of Sale sits on Gunaikurnai country, at a unique juncture of the far eastern bush and established farm lands meeting the river, which winds its way out to Lake Wellington and to Ninety Mile Beach where it meets the sea. People send in lines for eels and fish are aplenty in the waters of the Port of Sale, which is also home to the premier regional gallery, the @gippsartgallery.

It was a pleasure being invited to create a permanent artwork at the precinct, where kelp shadows, leucadendron, large-leaf bush-pea flowers, coastal banksia and eucalyptus feature.

Sweet colours by @reseneaustralia.
Thank you to the @gippsartgallery and the Port of Sale team for having me. This one was a dream.
