Scarlet honeyeater and pied cormorant - Inverloch.

Client: Deerys Engineering

Inverloch, Victoria.

12 x 6.5m. July 2023

A little pied cormorant, a scarlet honeyeater, glycine pea flowers and coastal banksia foliage. The colours I chose for this piece were to give the feeling of a warm and rich coastal escape. Warm peach tones blend with cool greeny-blue hues, with a band of blur traversing the wall to represent being close to the water. Celebrating local species (including the scarlet honeyeater which is a migratory bird, travelling between Inverloch and New Caledonia annually) this ambitious mural celebrates Inverloch and the Bass Coast.

Painted in Resene Lumbersider.
